Mainz right-back Leon Balogun will play no part in Saturday’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania in Dar Es Salaam, Balogun who didn’t feature in the Eagles final warm up game against FC Abuja on Wednesday also watched from the bench as the Eagles had a feel of the National Stadium in Dar Es Salaam on Friday.
In his absence, Warri Wolves defender, Solomon Kwambe, is expected to feature.
Former Darmstadt defender Balogun injured his ankle in his first Bundesliga start last weekend.
Balogun has made four appearances for the Super Eagles since making his debut last year.
Meanwhile, coach Sunday Oliseh has refused to rule the player out of the game but admitted he was nursing an ankle injury he sustained in training on Wednesday.
