Several Journalists, local and foreign are waiting at the Charing Cross Police Station in London for the appearance of Diezani Alison-Madueke, former Nigerian Petroleum Minister.She was brought to this station on Friday after she was arrested, along with four other persons, by the UK National Crime agency on suspicions of bribery and money laundering. She was given a conditional bail, her passport seized and asked to report today.
However as at press-time Diezani is yet to appear.
Diezani was Nigeria’s first female oil minister, under whose watch Nigeria was immersed in fraudulent trillion naira oil subsidy payments, unprecedented oil theft and the disappearance of $20billion oil revenue.
